Description

This qualification reflects the role of individuals working in the area of scaffolding operations in the residential and commercial construction industry.

The qualification has been specifically designed to meet more than the minimum requirements and comprises of additional units which we feel are essential for a Scaffolder working at an Intermediate Level.

Hence there are 17 Units in total with multiple High Risk Work License (HRWL) units as electives.

Duration

The duration for the course is 320hrs which typically can be completed in 12-24months.
Many of the units are completed as standalone which aids in the scheduling and means that you are able to use the individual skills in your workplace as you attain them i.e. Forklift, Dogging etc. Other units are completed via self-paced learning with mentoring from the workplace.

Delivery Mode

Comprises of Self-Paced learning modules with mentoring from the workplace.
Standalone units delivered face to face, with attendance selected from availability on our training calendar.

Entry Requirements

As many of the units of competency are associated with a High Risk Work Licence, there are specific requirements which must be meet. The individual standalone course brochures provide for more detailed information on specific requirements. Common requirements are:
• Learners must be aged 18 years or older
• Photo Identification is required to be sighted prior to course commencement
• Language, literacy and numeracy skills required to interpret work instructions, equipment operating instructions and to complete a written hazard / risk assessment and record work outcomes

USI

From 1st January 2015 each student that will be commencing nationally recognised training in Australia is required to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) to be able to obtain their certificate or qualification from their registered training organisation.
